Mother’s boyfriend flees after saying child accidentally shot himself
SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash — A 4-year-old Sedro-Woolley, Washington boy was shot and killed on Sunday morning, and police are searching for the mother’s boyfriend. On Sunday afternoon, police recovered a gun just a few doors down from the crime scene.
Police believe 25-year-old Trevor Braymiller shot his girlfriend’s son then took off. The suspected shooter, the boy’s mom, two other adults and another child were in the home at the time of the shooting.
Rueben Dreyer says Braymiller asked for a ride out of town.
“He said he went outside in the garage to smoke a cigarette and he heard a boom and he went back into the house and his son wasn’t moving,” said Dreyer.
“He must have gotten up and got the gun, that’s all he told me,” said Dreyer
Braymiller is a convicted felon.
