LORTON, Va.- An OSU golfer won the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship on Saturday in Lorton, Virginia.
Jordan Niebrugge defeated Michael Kim 1-up in the 36-hole final.
Niebrugge trailed for just two holes in his six bracket matches.
Niebrugge never trailed against Kim and led by as many as four holes.
He becomes the seventh OSU male golfer to win a USGA event and earns a spot in next year’s Masters Tournament, if he stays an amateur.
