Immunization clinics prepare for back-to-school rush

OKLAHOMA CITY- If your children still need to get their immunizations before heading back to school, the Oklahoma City-County Health Department has made it easier to get those much needed shots.

The department has teamed up with the Oklahoma Caring Van Program and the Oklahoma County Immunization Coalition to open vaccination sites across the city before the start of school.

Immunization locations are as follows:

On Monday, July 29:

  • Oklahoma City-County Health Department: 921 N.E. 23rd St. from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Tuesday, July 30:

  • Oklahoma City-County Health Department: 921 N.E. 23rd St. from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Homeland: 4129 S.E. 29th St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Homeland: 9225 N. May Ave. from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, July 31:

  • Northeast Regional Health and Wellness Campus: 2600 N.E. 63rd St. from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Homeland:  7001 N.W. 122nd St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Homeland: 4301 S. May from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On Thursday, August 1:

  • Oklahoma City-County Health Department: 921 N.E. 23rd St. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Capitol Hill WIC: 210 S.W. 25th St. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Homeland: 5857 N.W. Expressway from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On Friday, August 2:

  • Oklahoma City-County Health Department: 921 N.E. 23rd St. from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
  • OU Children’s Hospital: 1200 Children’s Ave. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Saturday, August 3:

  • Douglass High School: 301 W. Reno Ave. from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Free vaccinations will be offered to people who are Medicaid eligible, uninsured, underinsured and Native American.
