CHELMSFORD, Mass. — Cameras were rolling when a car traveling at a high speed slammed into a telephone pole in Chelmsford, Massachusets, ejecting the driver upon impact.
“It woke me up. I live right next door and I heard the crash. And I didn’t know exactly what happened,” said Gary Frascarelli, who called 911.
A 21-year-old Billerica man was driving twice the 35-mile-per-hour speed limit.
The driver was flown to Beth Israel Hospital. His 1994 Honda Civic is considered totaled. The vehicle is in the custody of police as evidence.
