Driver with minor injuries after car vs. train accident
OKLAHOMA CITY – A driver has only minor injuries after a car vs. train accident overnight Thursday.
A train collided with the car parked on the tracks near S.E. 51st St. and I-35 just after midnight.
Police found the driver still inside the silver Acura.
Investigators said the train was only going five to 10 miles per hour when it hit the car, spinning it around and off the tracks.
Officials are still investigating how the car ended up on the tracks in the first place.
Authorities said it could be alcohol-related.
