Pilot in fair condition after OHP plane crash during suspect search
POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Okla. – The pilot who was injured in Friday’s OHP plane crash is in fair condition Monday morning.
When the plane went down Friday night, Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said Trooper Dennis Dickens, the pilot, was searching for an injured man who ran from the scene of an accident.
The NTSB and the FAA are now investigating what caused the crash.
Officials said they found and arrested the suspect from the car accident.
Brent McKenzie, 50, is facing charges for driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest among others.
McKenzie is being held without bond in Pott. County.
