Woman claiming innocence in theft ring found with drugs in body cavity
POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Okla. – Authorities are now saying a woman who claimed she was just an innocent bystander when arrested for theft is not innocent at all.
When they booked her into the Pott. County jail, they said they discovered she had hidden drugs in one of her body cavities.
Pott. County Sheriff Mike Booth said the red-headed woman actually gave deputies a fake name when they arrested her in connection to a theft ring that targeted a murdered couple.
The Tecumseh couple, Gary and Linda Haas, were murdered while on vacation in New Mexico in 2010.
They learned the woman was recently released from prison and on probation.
Her real identity is Sharrie D. Gile.
