OKLAHOMA CITY – Mortgage closing costs are on the rise everywhere, including Oklahoma, according to a new report from bankrate.com.
The website found closing costs jumped 6 percent over the past year.
The national average is about $2,400 as of Tuesday.
Origination fees account for most of that increase, up 17 percent from 2012.
According to the survey, Oklahoma has the eighth highest closing costs in the country at just more than $2,500.
