Stomach bug spreading, traced to salad at restaurant chain
The numbers continue to rise; nearly 600 people across 20 states have fallen ill with the Cyclospora stomach bug.
About a third of the patients have been hospitalized but no deaths have been reported.
Health officials in Iowa and Nebraska have traced the source of illness to contaminated salad mix served at Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurants.
However, officials said that doesn’t account for all the cases.
No cases of the illness have been confirmed in Oklahoma.
