Biker killed in crash during police chase
RUSH SPRINGS, Okla.- A motorcyclist is dead following a police chase in Grady County.
Police say they tried to pull over a motorcycle for speeding late Monday night on Highway 81, near Rush Springs.
However, the rider took off with police on his tail.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the biker lost control on a curve and crashed.
Troopers say he was thrown about 85 feet from the bike.
The victim, 48-year-old Michael Petisca, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol report says he was not wearing a helmet.
