EDMOND, Okla. – The city of Edmond will take the first steps to building a brand new public safety center Friday.
The new facility will be built at 1st St. and Littler.
The four-story building will house the police department offices, 911 dispatch, the city’s emergency operations center and the jail.
City leaders said Edmond’s rapidly growing population presented the necessity for this new center to be built.
