UPDATE: Deputies enforce “Drive sober or get pulled over” campaign

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Okla. County Sheriff’s Department arrested more than a dozen people and wrote hundreds of tickets as part of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign last weekend.

Deputies said they made 14 arrests, wrote 225 citations, issued 96 warnings and impounded 18 vehicles during their 12-hour stepped up enforcement Saturday into Sunday.

The first seven hours deputies checked for seat belt and speeding violations.

The day ended with a DUI checkpoint at N.E. 23rd St. and Spencer Rd.
