Suspect wanted for double murder surrenders to police
HUGO, Okla.- A man wanted for two homicides in Choctaw County is now behind bars after surrendering to police.
On August 4, authorities were called to Hugo after two people were found shot to death.
Since then, agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation have been searching for 33-year-old Dawaylon Rainey, also known as “Hog.”
Witnesses told investigators Rainey came into an apartment and shot 23-year-old Floyd Clegg and 19-year-old Qualin Hayden before fleeing on foot.
Officials say Rainey turned himself in Sunday afternoon.
He now faces two counts of first-degree murder.
