Sprinkler business catches late night theft on camera, reward offered

OKLAHOMA CITY – A business in Oklahoma City is searching for their missing truck and trailer, which were stolen last week.

Luckily, security cameras caught some of the action.

Nearly $20,000 worth of supplies were stolen from a lot located at Heads-Up Sprinklers, Gutters & Drains last Friday around 4 a.m.

“A Ford F-250, a trailer, a trencher we use to put sprinkler systems in, then all the materials, tools, drills, stuff like that,” owner Shyon Keoppel said.

Keoppel said one of his employees left the keys in his work truck overnight.

After the business closed, he said he thinks someone hopped the fence to his yard when the business was closed.

“They got the keys, started the truck, they walked around and just opened up the gate and left,” Keoppel said.

The suspect sat at the gate for a couple of minutes and little did that person know every second was caught on camera.

“We have 16 cameras around the property inside and outside and he was caught on a few of them,” Keoppel said.

The video shows someone getting out of the truck on the passenger side, looking around for a moment and eventually opening the gate to leave.

However, not one camera is able to make out the face of the person behind the overnight theft.

The business has filed a police report and the owners have a message for whoever took the equipment.

“If you could please return it, it would help us out,” Keoppel said. “We won’t press charges if they return it.”

The business is offering a monetary reward for anyone who has any information about the missing supplies.
