Police arrest final murder suspect in Shawnee cold case
SHAWNEE, Okla.- Authorities say just days after charging three men with the murder of a homeless man in 2011, all three suspects are in custody.
Officials say 54-year-old Alan Wade Branscum was found dead under the Beard St. Bridge in 2011.
Investigators say Branscum was severely beaten and died of blunt force trauma.
Last week, 19-year-old Leland Blanchard Jr., 23-year-old Keenan Thorpe and 21-year-old Anthony Wood were all charged with first-degree murder.
Thorpe and Blanchard were both taken into custody shortly after the charges were filed.
We’re told Shawnee police, along with the Fugitive Task Force, arrested Wood in Stillwater around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
