LOGAN COUNTY — Officials say a burglary ring is wreaking havoc in Logan County stealing electronics, jewelry and guns. Investigators say on August 16th, bandits hit three homes raking in at least $17,000 worth of stolen goods. Ten days later, they got another $12,000 from three different homeowners.
Deputies say the burglaries aren’t just happening in Logan County but also in Garfield and Kingfisher Counties. Investigators believe they are are connected. One resident came home to the bandits leaving her property. She was able to snap a picture of their vehicle, she turned it over to police.
“Every noise you hear at night, you think that they are trying to come back and get what they didn’t get and its nerve wrecking,” said Cheryl McPhail. She was one of the seven burglary victims in Logan County.
“Some people have alarms systems and have great locks. Those things are useful but if a bad guy wants in your house he’s probably going to find his way in one way or another,” said Captain Rich Stephens with Logan County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators say crooks have also been stealing oil field equipment and diesel fuel.
