Midwest City man drowns in Kaw Lake over Labor Day
MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – Labor Day weekend turned deadly for one man from Midwest City.
Officials said 25-year-old Michael Glover was swimming in Kaw Lake Sunday with his girlfriend and one other person.
Witnesses said he went under at about 4 p.m. and never resurfaced.
The Army Corps of Engineers found his body about two hours later in water that was about 10 feet deep.
According to officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, he was not wearing a life jacket.
