Texas pushing for bill to honor Ft. Hood victims
FORT HOOD, Texas – Texas politicians are proposing a bill that would honor the victims of the deadly Ft. Hood shooting rampage.
The proposed legislation would retroactively grant federal support and benefits for the victims and families who have yet to receive any aid because the attack was designated as “workplace violence”.
The act would also award Purple Hearts to the wounded.
Earlier this summer Maj. Nidal Hasan was convicted and sentenced to death for that
2009 massacre that killed 13 and wounded more than 30 people.
