Woman arrested after allegedly trying to run down boyfriend multiple times
OKLAHOMA CITY- An Oklahoma City woman is facing multiple charges after police say she tried to run over her boyfriend during an argument.
The bizarre fight came to an end when police pulled over two vehicles after one of those cars was driving eastbound in the westbound lane of N.E. 19th St. on Friday evening.
Authorities say Sparkle Montgomery and her boyfriend were arguing earlier in the night when the argument turned violent.
Officers say the boyfriend slapped Montgomery before walking outside and sitting on the porch.
That’s when Montgomery got in her car and drove it toward the porch, attempting to hit the victim.
He jumped from the porch and ran onto the driveway.
According to the police affidavit, Montgomery allegedly backed up and pulled forward, trying to hit him with the car again.
Authorities say this went on for several minutes before the victim tried to flee on foot and Montgomery continued to chase him in her car.
As he was running down the street, the victim called his aunt to come pick him up.
As his relatives drove down the street, they reported seeing the man running for their car, and Montgomery’s car close behind him.
Officials say he jumped in his relatives’ car and drove away but was followed by the suspect.
Police say she pulled up next to the car, even though they were traveling on a two-lane road.
Authorities spotted the incident and quickly intervened.
Montgomery is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and reckless driving.
