NEWALLA, Okla.- Officers say two brothers are recovering after allegedly stabbing each other during a fight.

Authorities with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office say 50-year-old Pete Cossey and 47-year-old Abe Cossey were arguing outside a home around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The argument turned physical and both brothers stabbed each other multiple times with large knives.

After the stabbing, one of the brothers grabbed a shotgun and fired a couple of rounds.

Fortunately, no one was hit.

Both men were taken to an area hospital for their injuries.

Investigators say alcohol played a role in the fight and no arrests have been made at this time.
