Simple act of kindness stuns mom with special needs child
CHINA GROVE, N.C.- A small gesture of kindness from a stranger is having a huge impact on one family.
Ashley England was eating out with her 8-year-old son, Riley, who has special needs.
Riley started hitting the table, making noise and attracting attention from other diners.
Unable to calm him down, Ashley was about to leave the restaurant when the waitress appeared.
England said, “She says, ‘I don’t know if I can do this without crying but, you know, your meal’s been paid for and this is the note for you.”
The note, which was written by a complete stranger, said, ‘God only gives special to special people.’
Ashley says the message brought tears to her eyes and she feels more blessed by the simple act of kindness than the stranger will ever know.
