Major traffic project to disrupt weekend plans, travel
OKLAHOMA CITY – A major construction project could have fans coming home from the OU game looking for alternate routes.
Beginning Saturday at 9 p.m., I-235 will be closed in both directions.
Crews will be taking apart the bridge that leads to N.W. 50th St.
The busy metro highway closing could interrupt weekend plans.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, I-235 will remain closed until 5 a.m. Monday just in time for the morning commute.
ODOT encourages drivers travelling northbound to detour onto N.W. 36th St. while southbound drivers should exit I-235 at I-44.
