World record swimmer Diana Nyad coming to Okla.
MOORE, Okla. – World record swimmer Diana Nyad is coming to Oklahoma.
She is fresh off her successful swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage and fins.
The 64-year-old swimmer says she’s finished with the ocean.
She isn’t done swimming, though.
Nyad plans to swim for 48 hours in a special pool in New York City next month to raise money for Superstorm Sandy Relief.
She’s also going to swim for other fundraisers in Boston and here in Oklahoma, in Moore.
No word on a confirmed date yet.
