SAN ANTONIO- Several police officers in San Antonio are involved in a standoff with a suspect at a Super 8 Motel after an officer was shot Monday morning.

According to WOAI, police were responding to a disturbance call at the motel when the suspect shot through the door, hitting one officer in the head.

That officer was rushed to an area hospital, where doctors say he is expected to survive.

A nearby high school has been placed on lock down and parts of I-35 have been shut down.

Currently, officers have the motel surrounded.
