Toyota ‘redoing’ recall; first fix might not have worked
Recently had your Toyota or Lexus checked for a recall? You might need to have it checked again.
Toyota is issuing a recall redo Tuesday.
According to a report in the New York Times, Toyota is recalling nearly 800,000 vehicles for a second time because the first fix didn’t stick.
The recall covers certain 2006 through 2011 Rav 4 sport utility vehicles and 2010 Lexus HS 250-H sedans.
The issue in question, problems can result when the nuts for adjusting the rear wheel alignment are not tightened correctly during service.
Toyota said owners who had their vehicles checked under the earlier recall need to have them checked again.
