Deputies: Cleveland County couple breaks in, steals baby for $400 ransom
NOBLE, Okla – A Cleveland County couple is facing charges after being accused of stealing a baby and holding her on a $400 ransom.
Cleveland County deputies said 30-year-old Randy Dewayne Camp and 28-year-old Christina Ann Wilcox were charged with kidnapping for the purpose of extortion and first-degree burglary.
Deputies said Wilcox kicked in the door of a home on the 7000 block of 144th St. where a 35-year-old man was home with the baby.
They said Camp and Wilcox searched the house for the baby’s parents but didn’t find them so they packed up the child’s belongings and took the girl.
The official report states Wilcox said, “If they want the baby back, I’m at my house and bring $400 and they can get the baby back.”
Deputies said the parents previously lived with Wilcox and Camp.
The sheriff’s office confirmed deputies found the suspects with the infant and their two children.
They said the baby was unharmed and has been reunited with her parents.
Wilcox and Camp’s children were turned over to a family member.
