Monday, Sept. 16: School Kids’ Day – FREE admission for all kids through grade 12
Tuesday, Sept. 17: Super Saver Tuesday – $3 admission, Armed Forces’ Day – FREE admission for Armed Forces personnel and spouses (Military I.D. required)
Wednesday, Sept. 18: Senior Citizens’ Day – FREE admission for Senior Citizens 55+ (I.D. required)

They also offer a discount coupon book for $6 touted to save you almost $200 on fair food, rides and other fair fun.

Free Landfill Day in Oklahoma City

You can get rid of storm debris and other waste at no charge this weekend in Oklahoma City.

You don’t have to wait for big junk day, OKC residents can dispose of bulk garbage from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at local landfills.

- East Oak Landfill – 3201 Mosley Rd.
(N.E. 36, east of Sooner Road, south side of street)
Oklahoma City Landfill – 7001 S. Bryant
Oklahoma Landfill – 7600 SW 15
Northeast Landfill – 2601 N. Midwest Boulevard, Spencer, Okla.
(construction and demolition materials only)

Each household can drop off one load in a car or truck up to a 1-ton and one trailer up to 16-feet long.

You just have to show a utility bill or proof of residence.

They will not accept appliances containing refrigerants, household hazardous waste, tires, oils, car batteries, propane tanks, pool chemicals or electronic waste.

Bring the family to Harrah for their annual Fall celebration, Harrah Daze.

Start the weekend with one of the best parades in the state at 9:30 a.m. in Harrah’s Heritage Park.

Check out the car show complete with classis cars and modern vehicles.

Show your skills in the hot dog eating contest.

And you can’t miss one of the most entertaining parts of the festival, catching the greased pig.

Visitors can also expect a tractor pull, fishing derby, a health fair and a 5K run/walk.

The event draws to a close with a fabulous fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.

After the fireworks, the park’s amphitheater will be the venue for headlining performers.

Chickasha Frontier Days

Head to Chickasha for Frontier Days Fall Round-Up Ranch Rodeo and Trade Show this weekend.

Friday and Saturday it will feature all your favorite rodeo events including branding, doctoring, trailing, loading, cow hide races and wild cow milking.

Don’t miss the children’s calf scramble and other activities for the little ones at the Grady County Fairgrounds in Chickasha.
