Is it too early to get your flu shot?
Fall is just around the corner and that means the official start of flu season.
Cases of the illness have already been confirmed here in Oklahoma but is it too early to get your flu shot?
Officials at the Centers for Disease Control recommend getting the vaccine as soon as it is available.
They said that means from now to the beginning of October.
Experts warn the effectiveness of the shot doesn’t kick in for about two weeks.
They also say the vaccine may not protect you the entire flu season.
However, they say some protection is better than none.
