Austin officers ham it up with pig on the lam
AUSTIN, Texas – It was not a typical police booking for one Texas officer.
Over the weekend police were called to an unusual incident.
When they arrived, a potbellied pig was wandering the streets of Austin.
Authorities said the piglet escaped its owner and was on the lam.
After a short chase hamming it up, officers were able to capture the pig.
Police said the piggy was taken to an animal shelter until his owners could bring home the bacon.
The culprit did end up making a bit of a mess in the officer’s back seat but he is not in any trouble at this time.
