OSU issues campus alert after second assault
STILLWATER, Okla.- A campus alert has been issued for students at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater after a second student was attacked near campus.
School officials issued the warning Tuesday, following reports of a second assault on campus.
We’re told the incident happened around 4 a.m. on September 7 near the Morrison Apartments.
However, police only learned of the attack on Tuesday.
A similar attack, an attempted strong-armed robbery, was reported just two days earlier.
Campus police believe it could be the same person behind both crimes.
The suspect is described as a black or multi-racial male, standing around 6′ tall and weighing 160 to 200 pounds.
Witnesses say he has a muscular build and was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, gloves, a ski mask and blue jeans.
Campus police are warning students to walk in pairs at night, stay in well-lit areas and make sure to report anything suspicious.
