Homecoming parade gets special guest; a pink fire truck
MIDWEST CITY, Okla.- Several volunteers in the fight against cancer are helping to raise funds through a very prominent campaign that will be rolling into town for a homecoming parade.
Volunteers with the Oklahoma Panhandle Chapter of Pink Heals will be taking their pink fire truck to the Carl Albert High School homecoming parade in Midwest City on Friday at 1 p.m.
The group is raising money for local cancer patients and survivors to help with everything from doctor copays to utility bills.
In addition, Pink Heals also sells t-shirts and license plates to fund the day-to-day operations of the organization.
