Dairy Queen worker’s good deed warming hearts across country
A Minnesota Dairy Queen worker’s kind act is warming hearts across the country.
Joey Prusak was working his shift at the fast-food diner when a visually impaired man ordered a meal and accidentally dropped $20 on the ground.
The next woman in line quickly snatched up the money and claimed it was hers.
Prusak immediately asked the woman to either do the right thing or leave.
When the woman stormed out of the store, Prusak walked over to the man and handed him $20 from his own wallet.
Prusak said, “I told him, ‘You dropped $20. I would like to give you $20 on behalf of myself and Dairy Queen to try and make things right.’”
That $20 was about two hours’ worth of Joey’s pay.
Another person in the restaurant noticed the exchange and wrote to corporate.
Now the area restaurant is being flooded with visitors stopping by with cash and cards for the young man.
