Plaza District festival takes place next weekend
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK- Oklahoma City’s Plaza District hosts a festival featuring Oklahoma artists, performers and vendors Saturday September 28.
The Plaza District invited more than 40 Oklahoma artists to set up booths along 16th street, while musicians and performers entertain visitors. There will be arts and crafts for the kids in the Kids’ Art Center and Science Museum Oklahoma will also have fun activities.
COOP Aleworks will host OU and OSU football watch parties in a mobile beer garden.
There will also be a Bigfoot calling contest.
The Plaza District Festival is noon to 10 p.m., Saturday Sept. 28 on the 1700 block of NW 16th street, just west of Classen Blvd.
Here is a breakdown of the events:
12-6 p.m. outdoor kids’ mural painting
12-1p.m. Science Museum of Oklahoma activities
1-2 p.m. Calvert’s “Plant your own flower”
2-4 p.m. Mask making
4-5 p.m. Student artist demonstration
12 p.m. National Anthem performed by Classen SAS Marching Band
