Edmond resident becomes Oklahoma’s newest millionaire
OKLAHOMA CITY – Edmond resident, Lisa Nguyen, came forward today at Lottery headquarters to claim the $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket from last Friday night’s drawing.
Nguyen selected the winning numbers using the Easy Pick method and successfully matched five of five white balls for a $250,000 prize. She added the Megaplier option for an extra dollar to increase her prize to $1 million.
After taxes, Nguyen received a check for $710,000. She currently plans to save the winnings for her children’s education and future needs.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K located at 2216 W. Edmond Rd. in Edmond.
Oklahoma has had four Powerball jackpot winners and five Hot Lotto jackpot winners. This prize payment to Nguyen is the 34th prize of $1 million or more from the Oklahoma Lottery.
