Girlfriend allegedly sets couch on fire after argument
OKLAHOMA CITY – Investigators believe a domestic dispute led to an early morning fire in southwest Oklahoma City early Wednesday morning.
Around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, fire crews were called to a garage apartment near S.W. Grand Blvd. and Western Ave.
When they arrived, the flames were already out.
Authorities learned that the building’s landlord found the couch on fire inside the apartment and put it out himself before firefighters arrived.
Fire crews say before the fire started, a couple was arguing inside.
When the boyfriend left, the woman allegedly set the couch on fire and fled the scene.
Fortunately, no one was injured and no one was displaced by the blaze.
Investigators say the couch and part of one wall were damaged.
