Wear purple Thursday to raise awareness for domestic violence
OKLAHOMA CITY – As you pick out your clothes this morning, Governor Mary Fallin is asking Oklahomans to wear purple Thursday.
It is to show support for victims of domestic violence.
October is Domestic violence Awareness month.
Several businesses and landmarks across our state are lighting their buildings purple to raise awareness for this growing crime.
The Skydance pedestrian bridge over Interstate 40 in Oklahoma City will also be lit purple.
