Thunder kicks off pre-season play in Turkey broadcasted on NBA-TV

Are you ready for the Thunder season to start? The very first NBA game of 2013-14 will be played in Istanbul, Turkey and the Oklahoma City Thunder will be there.

The Thunder and Turkish basketball club Fenerbahce Ulker will tip-off the Thunder’s pre-season schedule inside the Ulker Sports Pavilion on October 5th.

Thunder opened their training camp in Oklahoma City, about a week ago, and are ready for action across the Atlantic.

After the game in Turkey the team will fly to Manchester, England for a contest with the Philadelphia 76ers on October, 8th.

Both games will be televised by NBA-TV. This is the first trip abroad for the OKC Thunder.

The OKC Thunder’s pre-season schedule is set, with two games in Chesapeake Energy Arena, one “home” game in Tulsa and another in Wichita, Kansas.

After their stint in Europe the OKC Thunder will have some practice time. After that they will be back in action on October 15th when the Denver Nuggets come to town.
