Promote awareness for all people with Down syndrome and join the Buddy Walk
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla- Promote awareness for people with Down syndrome and join the Buddy Walk on Oct. 19 at the Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City!
More than 4,000 people from the Oklahoma City and around the state walk to promote awareness for all people with Down syndrome.
In addition, funds are raised to support research, education and advocacy efforts.
The Buddy Walk was created by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) in 1995 to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
This year’s Buddy Walk included; games, an exotic animal petting zoo, a luau, face painting, cake walk, and moon bounces.
