Adrian Peterson absent during Wednesday’s Vikings practice
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Former Oklahoma University running back and Minnesota Viking star, Adrian Peterson, did not attend practice on Wednesday. The team says it is due to a personal matter and his coach will not address the situation.
It is not sure if his absence is due to the recent death of his two-year-old son last Friday in Sioux Falls, SD.
He is expected to return to practice on Thursday.
Peterson played on Sunday during the Viking’s loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Peterson’s son died from alleged aggravated assault by Joseph Patterson, who was dating the boy’s mother.
Patterson is being held in a Lincoln County jail on $750,000 bail.
