Oklahoma Pikepass may work on Texas tolls
OKLAHOMA- The North Texas Tollway Authority made an agreement with the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority allowing Pikepass users to travel to Texas from Oklahoma and use their own Pikepass on tolls around the Dallas-Ft. Worth Area.
“This will be a tremendous convenience for motorists who travel between two states and routinely take toll roads, both here in Oklahoma and in the Dallas area,” Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin said. ” I encourage the Turnpike Authority Board to approve the item authorizing this agreement in their next scheduled meeting.”
It’s anticipated, customers will be able to start using their Pikepass in the Dallas area by Fall of 2014.
“We hope to have everything in place so that Pikepass customers will be able to use their tag in Dallas area by next fall,” said Tim Stewart, OTA Executive Director. “We continually listen to our costumers, and being ab;e to use their Pikepass in other states is just another added benefit they have requested and we are excited to be able to offer that.”
