Compared to this time yesterday, temperatures are up to 22 degrees warmer.

A significant weather system heading our way, a cold front is strengthening across western Kansas.

Rain will move into Western Oklahoma by sunrise Friday morning and spread across the state during the day along with a powerful cold front.

Look for increasing clouds in the OKC metro through midday with rain beginning late afternoon.

Temperatures will rise to the mid 50s by noon then tank into the 40s and even the 30s later on in the evening. A stray flurry cannot be ruled out in far northwest Oklahoma, but any snow will be brief, mixed with rain, and will not stick.
