Sooners and Cowboys Rise in Both Polls

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State both rose in the two major college football polls released on Sunday.

In the Associated Press poll, OU is up one spot to #17, while OSU moved up two spots to #19.

In the coaches poll, the Sooners moved up six spots to 12th, while the Cowboys rose four spots to 13th.

The first BCS standings were released on Sunday night, with OU ranked 15th and OSU ranked 19th.

Oklahoma hosts Texas Tech this Saturday in Norman.

The unbeaten Red Raiders are 10th in the AP poll and 9th in the coaches poll.

Oklahoma State visits unranked Iowa State on Saturday.

Alabama remains number one in both major polls.
