Gov. Fallin, Oklahoma Pork Council feeding hungry Oklahomans
OKLAHOMA CITY – Governor Fallin’s annual food drive is getting a big boost Monday from the Oklahoma Pork Council and Blue and Gold Sausage.
The two groups are donating 4,000 pounds of sausage to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, about $8,000 worth of meat.
The Pork Council and Blue and Gold officials said they wanted to make sure hungry Oklahomans have access to high-quality nutritious protein
It’s all part of Gov. Fallin’s Feeding Oklahoma Food Drive.
This year’s goal is to provide $1.4 million meals for hungry Oklahomans.
The food drive runs through Oct. 31.
