Shorter shopping season puts procrastinators in a Christmas crunch

Halloween is just around the corner, which means Christmas is not far behind.

However, you will have fewer days to find that perfect gift than in the past few years.

Officials say most people wait to do their holiday shopping between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

This year, those shoppers will only have 26 days to complete their to-do lists.

Experts say despite the shortened time span, fewer days probably won’t slow down seasoned shoppers.

They expect that Cyber Monday, which falls on Dec. 2, could create new spending records.

According to a Fatwallet.com survey, 48 percent of people plan to shop on Cyber Monday and spend more money than they did last year.

Last year, Cyber Monday was the biggest online shopping day in history.
