OKC Thunder’s Russell Westbrook could be an early Christmas present for the team
OKLAHOMA – According to Yahoo Sports and CBS Sports, Russell Westbrook could return to the Thunder within the “next two weeks,” putting him ahead of schedule following arthroscopic surgery.
The Thunder initially announced that Westbrook would miss the first four-to-six weeks of the 2013-14 season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in early October.
Westbrook underwent the second knee surgery in October in order to reduce swelling in his right knee after undergoing season-ending surgery last season, in the second quarter of a 105-102 win against the Rockets in the 2013 NBA playoffs.
Westbrook began participating in Thunder practice sessions and has shocked everyone with his explosion and fast return to form, sources said.
