ALTUS, Okla. – The Altus Airman arrested after investigators found bomb-making materials in his home will make his first court appearance Thursday.
Authorities have charged 26-year-old Timothy Carey with one count of possessing a simulated bomb and other bomb-making materials.
Carey was arrested last Tuesday after the Air Force received tips from witnesses.
Officials said the witnesses told them Carey made comments about having explosive devices at his house.
Witnesses said he talked about a plan to use the devices at Walmart.
The Airman will make his first court appearance at 1:30 p.m. in Jackson County.
Carey could face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
