ProCure cancer Therapy center open for public tour

OKLAHOMA CITY – ProCure Proton Therapy Center in Oklahoma City is inviting the public to tour the facility’s 220-ton cancer-fighting cyclotron from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 2 at the center located at 5901 W. Memorial Rd.

The Cyclotron is only open to the public for tours twice a year.

“The cyclotron is an incredible piece of equipment-remarkable not only in size but also for the part it plays in helping our patients fight cancer,” said Dr. Gary Larson medical director of ProCure.

With the INTEGRIS Cancer Institution of Oklahoma Urology Clinic and Men’s Health University, the event also offers men’s health screenings beginning at 8 a.m. Reservations are required for prostate screenings.

Pancakes and Prostates from 8-11 a.m. include a pancake buffet for $5 per person that benefits the Men’s Health Network. At 11 a.m., Wild Al’s food truck will be serving Philly cheese steaks, pulled port sandwiches and veggie burgers.
