4,000 pound WWII bomb found
GERMANY – Thousands were evacuated from Dortmund, Germany today after the discovery of a World War II era bomb.
The 4,000 pound bomb was discovered by analyzing old aerial photographs.
Experts were looking for an un-exploded ordinance dropped by an allied aircraft.
A similar bomb find two years ago prompted the evacuation.
The 4,000 pound war bomb was removed after being successfully defused today.
