OSBI investigating death of inmate following jail fight
CHICKASHA, Okla. – Authorities are trying to determine if a fight at the Grady County Jail played a role in the death of a 28-year-old man.
Authorities arrested 28-year-old Kyle Young on Halloween for assault and battery and obstructing a police officer.
Young was taken to the Grady County Jail and placed in a cell pod with other inmates.
Guards were called to the cell on Saturday morning after learning about some type of fight between inmates.
When officers arrived, they found Young’s body.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is waiting to hear back from the medical examiner’s office to determine if Young had an underlying medical condition that caused his death.
At this time, no one has been arrested or charged with the death at this time.
