Sen. Coburn battling cancer for the fourth time
TULSA, Okla. – U.S. Senator Tom Coburn is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer after a recurrence that caused him to have surgery in 2011, according to Coburn’s spokesperson.
Coburn, 65, was first diagnosed with cancer in 1975, malignant melanoma.
In 2003 he was diagnosed again but with colon cancer, according to Tulsa’s KRMG.com.
A spokesperson for the senator said he hopes to be back to work next week.
